Syria Support Movement solidarity with the Syrian people
The Syria Solidarity Movement sent the following letter of solidarity to the Syrian General Federation of Trade Unions on the occasion of their 27th Congress, which will take place on February 13-16, 2020.
Last year, SSM organized a delegation of 22 delegates from Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands, France, South Africa, Palestine, Lebanon, the US, Australia, and the UK to the Third International Trade Union Forum conference in Damascus, organized by Syria’s General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU) and supported by International Confederation of Arab Trade Unions (ICATU) and the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU). The SSM looks forward to continuing to stand together with Syrian workers to confront unjust sanctions and U.S. intervention and support Syrian sovereignty.
