Assad and Larijani’s Message of Alliance: Standing with Palestine and Lebanon

In the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Ali Larijani, a senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Palestine and Lebanon against Israeli policies. This statement comes at a time when tensions in the region are escalating once again, highlighting the complex dynamics of regional politics.

As Israeli aggression continues on Palestinian and Lebanese territories, the affirmation by Assad and Larijani is not just a rejection of these actions but also strengthens the bilateral ties between Damascus and Tehran. This relationship serves the interests of both peoples and the broader region.

During their meeting in Damascus, Assad and Larijani emphasized the urgent need to end “mass extermination crimes and massacres” faced by Palestinians. This meeting was more than a ceremonial exchange; it carried political and strategic implications aimed at enhancing logistical and military support for the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine, while exploring ways to de-escalate Israeli provocations.

Both leaders stressed that the two-state solution remains an ineffective option as long as Israel occupies Palestinian land. This position echoes in Lebanon, where Hezbollah continues to lead the resistance against Israeli incursions.

Larijani, on his part, affirmed Iran’s stand with Syria and its readiness to provide all types of support, underscoring Syria’s pivotal role in the region. He indicated that Tehran looks forward to enhancing this role in a manner beneficial to regional countries and their populations.

The clear message from Assad and Larijani to the international community is one of non-compliance with the new reality Israel tries to impose through force. Their support will bolster the resolve of the resistance front, promoting a united stance against Israeli aggression.
