Daraa province: Tens of residents staged a demonstration in Kherbet Al-Ghazalah village in Daraa countryside, condemning attacks and advancements by Israeli forces in Syrian territory.
The protestors lifted placard with slogans written on them, some of which read “down with Israel. The south region will never fall,” stressing that the advancement of Israeli forces into Syrian territory is a blatant human rights violation.
The protestors also called upon the international community to take an action regarding Israel’s recurrent violations in Syria, and they also reaffirmed that the recent advancements by Israeli forces in Daraa and Al-Quneitra are a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty.
The protest comes after a series of violations and successive advancements by Israeli forces in different areas in Daraa and Al-Quneitra.
On Wednesday, SOHR sources reported that dozens of people from Sayda Al-Goulan and Ghader Al-Bustan towns in southern Al-Qunaitrah countryside, went out in protests, condemning the Israeli violations on Syrian territory.
A day earlier, SOHR sources reported that Al-Quneitra and Al-Suwaidaa provinces have experienced growing demonstrations against the statement issued by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding Israel’s military presence in south Syria region, where protestors have stressed the unity of Syrian territory and expressed their rejection of the intervention any foreign powers and projects designed to divide the country.
In this context, tens of residents staged a protest in Al-Rufayd town in the southern countryside of Al-Quneitra, denouncing the latest statements by Netanyahu, where they see them as “blatant violations to Syria’s sovereignty and attempts to impose foreign agendas in the region.”
The protestors chanted slogans, stressing compliance with the Syrian national identity and expressing rejection of Israel’s efforts to annex the occupied Syrian Golan or impose mandate by foreign powers on south Syria region.
Those protests coincided with a demonstration in Al-Karamah square in Al-Suwaidaa city centre under the slogan of “for preserving land and Syria’s territorial integrity,” where protests expressed their condemnation of the statements by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding Israel’s military presence in south Syria region.
