Hamilton Coalition Against War Treasurer and Syria Support Movement Board Member, Ken Stone was interviewed on Press TV about the 1000th US/Israeli bombing raid on Yemen, part of a flagrantly illegal war to try to force the Ansar Allah movement from enforcing its very successful blockade of the Red Sea in solidarity with the people of Gaza, under attack by Israel, NATO, and the USA. The International Court of Justice, the highest court in the world, termed Israel’s murderous attacks on civilians in Gaza (and its denial of food, water, medicines, and electricity) as a genocide and urged all the countries of the world to stop it.
Despite powerful Christian Zionist and Jewish Zionist lobbies inside the USA, Israel remains the proxy and hit man of the US empire in West Asia. As the power of the US empire declines, so will that of Israel.
Despite the US/UK/Israeli bombing of Yemen, which is quietly supported by dozens of Canadian naval and military officers in the operational control room in Bahrain, Ansar Allah is not likely to be deterred. After all, they have been bombed and starved incessantly by this nefarious and illegal coalition since 2015, following Ansar Allah’s rise to power in 2014 through a popular revolution against Saudi control of their country.
All of this death and destruction could end with one phone call from Trump to Netanyahu ordering the latter to submit to a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, an exchange of prisoners, a restoration of humanitarian aid to Gazan civilians, and an end to the occupation.
